Natural Critical Learning Environments

Professor Eric Mazur, who teaches physics at Harvard, thought he was a good teacher because he got good ratings from students and most of them did well on his examinations.  He then discovered that his students, even those who made A's, did not understand basic concepts.  As a result, he changed his approach to teaching.  This is a video of a talk he did a few years ago that captures much of his new approach.  It examplifies many of the elements of the natural critical learning environment.
